Procurement Agent

Community Health of Central Washington (CHCW) is seeking a Procurement Agent to support the purchasing functions of CHCW, assist in the development of policy and procedures appropriate to the purchasing function and assist with the negotiation and maintenance of vendor contracts. Procurement Agent is a support function that works closely with Finance, Information Systems and operational departments to provide high quality product as the lowest possible cost.

Job duties include:

  • negotiate terms and pricing of equipment and supplies for outpatient medical and dental clinics
  • responsible for the maintenance and renewal of contracts, research new vendors, ensure ordering and timely delivery of equipment and supplies while meeting budget and schedule requirements
  • ensure expenditures are compliant with federal and state laws
  • manage the CHCW contract data base and assure that contracts are compliant with contractual terms


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistic or related field preferred. Applicable experience may substitute for degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of purchasing related experience or demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position required
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
