Yakima Pediatric Associates (YPA); a service of Community Health of Central Washington; a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is a teaching site for University of Washington Pediatric Residents. YPA seeks a well-trained BC/BE pediatrician to join our team to provide primary care and consultations for a rural community of 80K with a 200K patient draw. We are consumer driven and physician led. No deliveries. A pediatric nurse triage service is utilized after hours.

YPA is located on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountain Range in Yakima, WA where we enjoy all 4 seasons, approximately 290 days of sunshine per year, and is about 2.5 hours east of Seattle. The Yakima Valley boasts a divergent economy including apples, vineyards, and award winning wineries. Recreational activities are abundant all year long and include: a minor league baseball team, fishing, hiking, skiing, youth camps, theatre, and more.

Behavioral Health Consultant

Community Health of Central Washington; a Federally Qualified Health Center and Teaching Health Center; is looking to hire a Behavioral Health Consultant to work in our nationally recognized primary care behavioral health program, developed by Dr. Kirk Strosahl. The clinic location is Central Washington Family Medicine; located in Yakima, Washington CWFM provides primary care services to a large and ethnically diverse, underserved population with significant medical and behavioral health needs. CWFM is also a free standing Family Medicine Residency Program associated with the University of Washington, Department of Family Medicine.  Our mission is to provide quality healthcare through service and education.

At CWFM, you will work collaboratively with a diverse team of Faculty Physicians, Resident Physicians, Behavioral Health Consultants, Mid-level providers, Pharmacists, Licensed Nurses, Care Coordinators and other clinical support staff to promote and sustain high quality clinical services.

The position is full time; 90% direct clinical service and 10% residency duties. Prior experience working as a Behavioral Health Consultant or working in residency or clinical training settings a plus. Bilingual E/S a plus.

Master’s level degree, PhD or PsyD from an accredited college or university.  PhD or PsyD must have been obtained from an APA approved education program.  Must be license eligible in the state of Washington.  Individuals seeking a postdoctoral fellowship in integrated behavioral health are encouraged to apply.

Title Physician – Geriatrics

Senior & Residential Care; a service of Community Health of Central Washington is searching for a Geriatric Physician to provide primary care medical services to include; routine care for chronic, acute and preventive health needs of patients of the SRCare program. Visit types will include admission to participating facilities, routine periodic visits, and interim visits as needed according to patient status.

MD or DO degree required with particular interest and demonstrated competency in the care of geriatric and disabled patients. Graduate medical education and certification in geriatric medicine or in family medicine or internal medicine, with certificate of added qualification in geriatrics and/or AMDA certification or training preferred. If above education qualifications are successfully met, additional experience is not required. In lieu of above education, physician must demonstrate appropriate experience, leading to competencies in the care of geriatric and other high needs/chronically ill patients.

Ability to obtain licensure to practice medicine in the state of Washington and DEA license with no restriction from participation with the Medicaid or Medicare programs, ability to obtain credentials from appropriate health plans and to be covered by CHCW malpractice liability carrier required.
